About

ABSKA is an autonomous, all-India body registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860. This organization has been working for almost two decades, but was formally registered on 30 April 2025. It is an umbrella body under the auspices of which all indigenous, traditional, and ancient games and sports of our country are promoted.

If we delve deep into the history of sports and sporting talent in India, we come to know that the passion to play various types of games has been prevalent since time immemorial in our country. In the Treta Yug, we find accounts of Lord Ram playing with his brothers and classmates not only in the Gurukul of Vashisht but also on the streets and playgrounds of Ayodhya.

Objective

The primary objective of ABSKA is to promote, preserve, and popularize ancient, rural, and non-Olympic sports while creating awareness of India’s rich sporting culture. The association aims to identify grassroots talent, encourage community participation, and strengthen physical and mental development through traditional games.
